More Xbox 360 price cutting rumors

Ok, so I guess time will tell when the price cuts will happen... I'm getting a little tired of all the rumors though.

Well, not at E3, but MS WILL drop price of Xbox360

Ok, so the predictions were not correct. However, according to Bloomberg Microsoft is planning(at some point) to lower the price on the Xbox 360 to be more competitive with the Wii. When that is, anyone's guess. I think perhaps in time for Halo3 or perhaps the holiday shopping season. Time will tell....

Microsoft does right by Xbox360 customers!

Head on over and read the letter from Peter Moore. I for one am glad to see this, being a long time Xbox owner and recent Xbox360 Elite purchaser. So far I've had to send my Elite back once for overheating, and I got a replacement one back within 8 days, but my own experience was apparently an unusually good one. I think it helps to be within one day's transit time to the repair depot too. Kudos to Microsoft for stepping up and being responsible!

You can find the source over here at this Symantec page.

Viral marketing at it's finest. I think this is better than the ATHF Lite-Brite(b*mb scare) campaign of Boston. I'll have a six-pack of Buzz cola, some Krusty-O's, and a super size slushie. Hold the mass hysteria, please.

Reportedly high failure rates for the Xbox360

I can personally attest that my 360 Elite has been replaced once already. At least I got it back very quickly. Let's hope MS gets this fixed soon.

Personally, I'd be happy to travel by high-speed train as an option. Now as long as the TSA doesn't make a big show at the train station....
